There are a number of student organizations here at Ursuline. Below is some information about our current organizations and their advisors. American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)
Advisor: Hillary Stone (x8373)
The American Society of Interior Designers, Student Chapter (ASID) at Ursuline College enables the student interested in interior design to become a member of this professional organization and to advance in status upon graduation. The American Society of Interior Designers is the oldest and largest professional organization for interior designers with the largest residential and commercial membership with more than 30,000 members. ASID establishes common identity for professionals and businesses in the field of interior design. -
Campus Crusade for Christ

Campus Crusade for Christ is a student organization dedicated to presenting the opportunity to have a personal relationship with God, through His Son Jesus Christ to every student on Campus. We have a weekly meeting during which there are opportunities to grow in our understanding of how to share God's love with those around us. We also offer opportunities to attend conferences, serve the community, and we plan campus-wide outreaches throughout the year. -
College Committee
Students serve on many committees established at the College. One such committee is the College Council. The College Council is a quadripartite board composed of an equal number of elected administrators, faculty, staff, and students and chaired by the Vice President of Student Affairs. College Council serves as a consultative group to the President and is available for review and consideration of proposals affecting the College community. Students also serve on the Academic Appeals Board and the Food Service Committee, among others. -
Dancing Arrows

Dancing Arrows is a voluntary organization open to any interested Ursuline student. The purpose of this organization is to create opportunity for members to become involved through teamwork and collaboration at campus events. The Dancing Arrows practice weekly and perform at specific events. -
Drama Club
Advisor: Jenny Dunegan (x8111)
The Drama Club is responsible for bringing all aspects of theatre to the students, faculty, and staff of Ursuline College. The Drama Club tries to foster an appreciation of theatre through trips, workshops, and retreats as well as producing shows in the Mullen Little Theatre. -
Commuter Student Organization (CSO)
Advisor: Joann Piotrkowski (x8327)
The purpose of CSO is to provide commuter students with the opportunity to 1) get to know other students; 2) get involved in on-campus and off-campus activities; 3) voice their opinions and recommendations about matters of commuting to campus; 4) help others in need through community service. CSO also hosts monthly commuter luncheons. -
Fashion Focus
Advisor: Connie Korosec (x8142)
Membership is open to all students who have an interest in fashion and the fashion world. Members host a variety of speakers from the industry and participate in a number of field experiences in retailing. Each year the group creates special projects to participate in and thus, increase their experience in the world of fashion for their resumes. -
Inscape
Advisor: Celeste Wiggins (x3155)
This literary magazine is published annually. Every student is invited to contribute manuscripts, artwork, and photographs to the staff. Ursuline College is particularly proud to showcase the talent of faculty, students, and staff in this literature. -
New Covenant Gospel Choir

The Gospel Choir will spread the Gospel using God given talent of song and speech to the Ursuline College community and other surrounding communities. All are welcome to join! Voice placements are required and practices are held weekly. -
Programming Board (PB)

The purpose of the Programming Board is to promote unity among U.C. students and create an exciting campus environment by providing all inclusive entertaining activities For Students. By Students. -
Public Relations Society of America (PRSSA)

The purpose of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is to cultivate a favorable and mutually advantageous relationship between students and professional public relations practitioners. The student society aims to foster the following: an understanding of current theories and procedures of the profession, appreciation of the highest ethical ideals and principles, awareness of an appropriate professional attitude and appreciation of Associate Membership in PRSSA and eventually accredited membership. -
Residence Hall Council (RHC)

All residents are members of Residence Hall Council. The purpose of Residence Hall Council is (1) to build community among the residents living in all College residence halls, (2) build unity among the sub communities that develop among students, (3) and encourage residents to take responsibility for their College experience and personal success at Ursuline College. -
Student Nurses of Ursuline College (SNUC)

The purpose of SNUC is to aid in the development of the individual student and urge students of nursing as future health professionals, to be aware of and contribute to improving the health care of all people. SNUC is a unified organization of nurses on the forefront of community change. The organization is comprised of intelligent, compassionate and action-oriented students who are committed to promoting SNUC's mission. Each student will receive challenging learning experiences and enjoyable relationships founded upon our shared values. -
Social Work Organization

This organization would like to engage social work majors (and other interested students) in the following: 1) organized community service projects; 2) social gatherings to build relationships; 3) informational seminars related to the social work profession and 4) College wide community projects or information sharing programs. -
Students Arts Organization for Peace and Justice

The Student Arts Organization acts regarding matters that revolve around the College Mission Statement. It responds to justice issues and to those who are voiceless and need the arts to give voice. It acts according to the needs of the people in the group and to the needs of the society and community around us. -
Students for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (SETA)

The purpose of this group is to advocate for the ethical treatment of animals. -
Student Government Association (SGA)
Advisor: Missy Mordarski Frei (x8325)
All students are members of SGA. SGA officers, senior, junior, and sophomore representatives, and nontraditional representatives are elected each Spring. Freshman class representatives are elected each Fall. Traditional events planned by SGA include a Haunted Ursuline, Fall Formal, student forums, and a Casino Night. The purpose of the Student Government Association is (1) to promote an atmosphere in which each student can most readily achieve her/his own highest level of spiritual, intellectual, and social performance; (2) to foster among students an intelligent understanding of their duties and obligations, rights and privileges as members of the student community; (3) to develop initiative and responsibility and independence; (4) to provide an opportunity for students to voice their opinions and suggestions in matters of general college life; (5) to promote intercollegiate collaboration. -
Students for Historic Preservation (SHIP)

The purpose of SHIP is to promote interest in historic preservation; provide members opportunities for gaining an understanding of the history and programs in the preservation profession; provide opportunities for participation in preservation work; encourage professional membership in local, state and national preservation organizations; promote the goals of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the National Park Service. -
Students of Science Pre-Professional Organization (SOS)

SOS provides for the particular needs of students seeking careers in professional areas of science and health care. The club provides a forum for obtaining information regarding admissions to professional schools (medical, dental, veterinary, optometry, podiatry, psychiatry, etc.) and graduate schools as well as opportunities to explore other careers in science and medicine. There are opportunities for extracurricular activities in community outreach, field trips, and sponsored speakers for a variety of topics relating to the science and health care communities today. This group seeks to help students move from undergraduate studies to higher education goals and professional careers. -
Students United for Minority Awareness (SUMA)

SUMA is an organization that focuses on maintaining diversity by means of educating within a college environment and supporting community service. -
UC Serve

The purpose of UC Serve to provide Ursuline students with opportunities to engage themselves in meaningful service to their community, enriching their education through experience. We also seek to create an atmosphere of understanding between the individual and their community as a whole, and challenge them to take on a leadership role in this community. -
Ursuline College Education Association

This is a pre-professional organization of undergraduate and graduate students preparing for a career in education and promoting the goals of the Ohio Student Education Association (OSEA).
