What it is?
The Boot Camp Challenge is a fun 10-week challenge for anyone who is willing to participate.
Each individual will sign a contract for themselves, committing themselves to a 10-week
exercise and healthy eating routine. Individuals will gain points for the tasks they complete.
It is a fun rewarding challenge for those who are trying to get in shape!
Unlike our biggest loser program, we only require 2 weigh-ins, one when you sign up and one when you complete the program. Instead, we ask you to broaden the variety and extent of what you are doing so that your entire lifestyle is included. Activities include cardio and resistance workouts, checking your eating habits, and earning bonus points for extra weigh-ins and participating in special activities.
When do we start?
We will begin weigh-ins from Friday February 15th through Wednesday February 20th. After
weighing in you will receive your contract and
checklist. You will also receive a small packet
with useful information about working, eating healthy, and a schedule of the classes that are
offered at the wellness center.
How does it work?
Once you get your packet, read it, fill it out, make a copy of your
contract and come to the Wellness Center for your weigh-in.
Keep a copy of your contract to motivate you and remember that a contract is PROMISE!
Every week you should complete the items on your checklist and bring your checklist to the wellness center every Friday (You will receive a new one for the week). If you complete 80% of the items on your checklist, you earn your full 50 points. If you do more, then you earn 5 points for every extra task completed.
Are we doing teams again?
You can sign up as an individual AND be part of a team. After everyone signs up, we will
divide the group into teams. This will help everyone to motivate each other to accomplish our
goals.
If you want to work with a specific group of people, please state so on your form.
At the end of the 10-weeks you will weigh in the week of April 28th – May 2nd And Saturday May 3rd we will all be attending the Diversity Walk at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to celebrate the end of this wonderful 12-week challenge. (More information on this will be provided later).
