The Wasmer Gallery is a non-profit gallery owned and operated by Ursuline College.
In our function as a College Gallery we maintain responsibilities to our own campus and alumnae needs as well as uphold our commitment to exhibit professional fine art by professional artists of educational value; consequently, we have a relatively full schedule each exhibition season.
Nevertheless, the Wasmer Gallery welcomes proposals by artists for the upcoming planning schedules.
The Gallery comprises 2,000 square feet in a 40 by 50 foot space with trac lighting. It is carpeted in a neutral beige. Similarly, one inch thick plywood walls are carpeted with the same color. The lights are on dimmers including the 25 foot, 4 foot deep glass cases which line the entrance wall. The ceiling is 15 feet high, with exposed beams, and the entire area has heat, cooling and humidity control.
The Wasmer Gallery is in its own building which is attached to the main lobby off of the dining hall and leading to the Art Department. There is an outside entrance, a garden entrance, and a lobby entrance; all entrances are secured, as is the Gallery proper, by a key lock security alarm. The patio entrance is barrier free creating easy access to the Gallery.
