Sarah S. Preston earned a B.S. degree in chemistry from Ohio University and an M.S. and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University working with Jon R. Parquette. At Ohio State, she was a University Fellow, a GAANN Fellow and a Proctor & Gamble Industrial Fellow. After completing her graduate work, she became a faculty member at Ursuline College, where she currently serves as department chair and explores interests in technology in education and ligand synthesis for asymmetric catalysis. She is active with the American Chemical Society and regularly presents at its national conferences.
