Why I Chose Ursuline
I valued Ursuline's long-standing reputation and mission of developing, educating and promoting female leaders. Additionally, I wanted to explore the STEM fields, and was looking for small class sizes, ultimately preparing me for a rigorous medical school curriculum.
Putting My Ursuline Degree to Work
At Vanderbilt University Medical Center, I am a sub-specialist Women's Imaging Radiologist (physician), Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director of the Breast Imaging fellowship. I take care of women by interpreting breast and pelvic/obstetric imaging studies (mammograms, US, MRI), performing breast biopsies, as well as educating medical students and post-graduate residents/fellows about women's health. I like to think that my devotion to patients partly stemmed from Ursuline's core values!
I'm Making My World More Informed
By educating female patients and trainees about women's health issues, I am providing evidence-based, current information; therefore, empowering women to make confident decisions about their health.
