After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education at West Virginia University, Nanette Sherwood taught for the Camp Le Jeune Dependent Schools in North Carolina and later moved to Cleveland where she earned a Master of Education and Curriculum and Instruction at Cleveland State University. She taught Music, Language Arts and Reading in the Mayfield City School District for 33 years. After retiring from Mayfield City Schools, Nanette Sherwood continued to teach at Cleveland State University and supervise student teachers in the field.
Acting as an Adjunct Professor at Ursuline College, Nanette Sherwood enjoys teaching various curriculum and reading courses in the Master Apprenticeship Program as well as conducting student teacher observations.
In her free time, Nanette Sherwood enjoys performing and is the director of two community choirs.
