Why I Chose Ursuline
I chose Ursuline for the one-on-one education I received. Even though it is an online RN-BSN program, it was very personal and any time I needed to meet with a professor, I had no difficulty scheduling a time. I never felt lost in the crowd, as one can feel in online courses.
I also love the campus. I would often go to the library to study and take long walks during study breaks. I have always thought Ursuline is one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. The buildings are beautifully arranged within the landscape.
Putting My Ursuline Degree to Work
I had a wonderful internship at Euclid hospital with a nurse manager who was approachable but knowledgeable in nursing management. I had a great time working alongside her and understanding nursing from a management perspective.The courses were all necessary for the enhancement of my education and understanding of nursing. I will not be overwhelmed by the work expected of me in a Master's degree program.
I’m Making My World More Fulfilling
My dream was to move back to New York City and work for the Hospital for Special Surgery. HSS is the #1 orthopedic hospital in the country. It's difficult to get a nursing job at HSS because nurses rarely leave. I applied and had to take a nursing test, but I was not nervous because I have confidence in my nursing education from Ursuline college. I am excellent in interviews, too, because several of my finals were one-on-one with my professors at Ursuline. My advisor, Dr. Prosser, easily gave me a recommendation because we had worked closely together for three years.
