Why I Chose Ursuline
I chose Ursuline because it allowed me to pursue majors in both Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising. From the first moment I stepped onto campus, I had the feeling it was exactly where I needed to be.
Putting My Ursuline Degree to Work
While on campus I kept extremely busy managing a double major, being an R.A., working several jobs, and helping to lead a student organization. Although some days, it was hard to manage, I feel it better prepared me for the fast-paced industry I work in today. Currently, I work for National Safety Apparel as a Technical Design Associate where no two days are exactly the same. I get to challenge myself every day and use my creativity to help innovate designs worn by various industry professionals from electricians to members of our armed forces. With the help of my professors, I was able to explore several fashion industry positions through internships which led to my post-graduate career. On the side, I am doing small design projects as I work towards my goal of opening my own community-centric business one day.

It’s so rewarding to see how problem-solving can turn into technology that keeps people safe as they pursue their passion. It was at Ursuline where I was truly pushed to innovate an industry that is so highly saturated.
