Connie Bruening is a faculty member in The Breen School of Nursing. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and Master of Science in Nursing degree focusing on Education from Cleveland State University. She is also certified in high risk neonatal care. Mrs. Bruening brings over 41 years of nursing experience to the Breen School, working in areas such as maternal/newborn, orthopedic and cardiothoracic post-surgical care. Currently, she is in practice caring for post-partum families. Professional interests include empowering patients/families through education, identification of and interventions to assist vulnerable populations, and LGBTQ equity.
