    Jump-start your future with a summer course through Ursuline's new Institute for Women, Wellness & Workforce.

    Ursuline College has a rich history of preparing women to lead in high-demand careers. Continuing our tradition of maximizing women’s engagement in the world has never been more important and the College’s Institute for Women, Wellness and Workforce has the people and programs to help you get started.

    Take the first step and register today. Course content delivery will be combination of synchronous and asynchronous sessions, however all sessions will be recorded so you may view them on your schedule.

    • One course may be the just-in-time boost you need

    Emotional Intelligence, Communication, and Leadership

    Through small group dialogue, case studies, and action-oriented exercises, you'll gain new tools to enhance leadership skills, real world applications, and develop a renewed approach to pivot forward in career and life.

    Asynchronous workshop with optional synchronous Zoom meetings. Completion of this workshop will earn 1 credit hour. You'll develop skills grounded in emotional intelligence.

    Impact of COVID-19:
    Understanding Substance Use Disorders in the Workforce
    (this is a non-credit-bearing course)

    For human resource leaders, managers, small-business owners, principals, superintendents, religious leaders and others.

    • Learn about the pathway to addiction
    • Recognize of the signs, symptoms, and red flags of possible substance abuse and/or addiction
    • Gain information on effective ways to support those impacted by addiction
    • Explore the impact of addiction on families, the workplace, community organizations, and society

    Healthy Aging: Mind, Body & Spirit
    (1 credit for completing all 3 sections)

    Learn how to work with the senior community using methods that support maximum engagement and independence for older adults. This one-credit workshop covers specific aspects of aging and caregiving.

    • Monday, July 27, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Nutrition and Longevity. Instructor: Lynn Ulatowski, PhD


    Exercise and Nutrition for Women
    (1 credit)

    As a practitioner who guides athletes in achieving excellence, you’ll learn:

    • To identify the benefits of exercise wellness as a lifelong habit
    • About macronutrients and micronutrients and how they work in the body
    • To be able to determine if you’re getting adequate nutrients in your diet
    • To understand nutrition information for exercise and hydration
    • About specific sport injury trends and the basics of taping, splinting and wound care

    Credits earned in this course will eventually count toward Integrative Wellness MA, Physical Wellness Micro-Credential; and the Teaser for Exercise Science degree.



    Designing Your Career to Fit Your Life

    (.5 Credit)
    Are you a recent college graduate or headed into your senior year of college? Or perhaps you're mid-career and laid off due to COVID-19. Now what?  The pandemic has thrown a curveball and thrust us into the worst economic market in American history.  What should you do next? What are your options?

    Pivot and determine how to build a prosperous and fulfilling career around the life you want to live. In this course, you’ll explore options that range from traditional corporate/organizational jobs, to entrepreneurship, to gig and side hustles. You’ll take a comprehensive assessment that looks at your interests, skills, values, and personality along with small group coaching. Your assessment will help determine what’s right for you and how to approach your go-forward plan.

    Monday, August 3, 12-1 pm
    Week of August 10, students will be asked to sign up for a 1.5 hour small group coaching session. Multiple options will be available
    Thursday, August 13, 12-1 pm
    Monday, August 17, 12-1 pm
