In a virtual talk titled "Writing Place Through People: What steelworkers taught me about understanding local identity," author Eliese Colette Goldbach will discuss the craft of capturing a specific place in nonfiction writing, the responsibilities and challenges of being a contemporary artist in the Midwest, and the unexpected revelations experienced during the development of her memoir, RUST: A Memoir of Steel and Grit.
Her talk is the second in Ursuline's Rustbelt Revival speaker series, supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
