Total Solar Eclipse Party
April 8, 2024 from 12:30pm - 4:00pm
Ursuline College is partnering with the City of Pepper Pike to bring you the Total Solar Eclipse Watch Party on Monday, April 8, from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. Bring your chair or blanket to relax on the College’s front lawn on Lander Road and watch this once-in-a-lifetime event. Join us for food from around the galaxy, a DJ with an out-of-this-world playlist, as well as yard games and crafts. Take home a commemorative magnet to remember this cosmic day (while supplies last).
You don't want to miss this! The next total solar eclipse won't return to the Cleveland area for another 75 years, on September 14, 2099.
Eclipse Glasses
Pepper Pike residents can pick up eclipse viewing glasses at City Hall (2 per household). Ursuline College also will provide ISO Rated eclipse glasses for safe viewing (one per attendee) while supplies last. Remember, staring at the sun without proper eye protection can cause permanent damage. Sunglasses are not adequate protection.
Parking
Visitors should enter campus off Lander Road from the north entrance, home to the College’s tennis courts and largest parking lot. The south entrance will have limited access. The festivities are a short walk to the front lawn of Mullen Academic Center. Additional parking is available behind the gymnasium and near Pilla Student Center.
Dogs
Dogs are always welcome on the Ursuline campus, but should be leashed, under the owners control at all times and not disruptive to other visitors.
