Ursuline College has long been known for active participation in community building, community service and service learning, thus preparing students to succeed in life. Many of our academic programs are focused on the helping professions and the college encourages students, faculty, staff and alumnae to give back to the community.
The Student Nurses of Ursuline College
(SNUC) is the largest student organization on campus. The purpose of SNUC is to aid in the development of the individual student and urge students of nursing as future health professionals, and to be aware of and contribute to improving the health care of all people. SNUC is a unified organization of nurses on the forefront of community change. Click here

is for alumnae, students, faculty, staff and friends to volunteer their time to help some very worthy causes. We have secured the following places for our volunteers to go to: Cleveland Foodbank, Habitat for Humanity, MedWish, Rescue Village: Geauga Humane Society and the St. Angela Center.
Ursuline partners with local non-profit organization Color Your Corner
to makeover a child’s room. The Alumnae Association, three Ursuline students, a Board of Trustee member and a faculty member help to make this project become a reality.
This past fall, we met Jaida Shantery and her family who are the recipients of the new room. Jaida is 4 years old and shares her room with her 8 year old sister Zoey, they love being together and love anything with bright colors, polka dots or zebra print. Jaida has Spina Bifida and with her new room, she will be able to be more independent as she grows.
