A faculty member in Ursuline College's Breen School of Nursing has co-authored a study indicating that teens receive less benefit from hospice services than do older family members when a parent is dying.
Assistant Professor M. Murray Mayo, Ph.D. (at left), told the Reuters news agency, “In hospice, the unit of care is to the patient and family, but kids are being overlooked.” Read the article here.
