Ursuline College is launching its first-ever pep band to play at athletic events starting in the fall 2017 semester, and the College is offering pep band scholarships to qualified student instrumentalists.The band is open to academically and musically qualified students who play brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.
“We are very excited to be able to add the element of live music to athletic competition,” said Cindy McKnight, director of athletics. “A pep band will inspire our athletes and fans and add to the overall experience of Ursuline athletics.”
Ursuline College offers eleven sports and plays in the NCAA’s Division II. The basketball team recently won its second consecutive G-MAC (Great Midwest Athletic Conference) regular season championship.
