Ursuline College announces its next tour for alumni and friends of the College, The Wonders of Ancient Israel: The Christian Heritage Tour. After recent Ursuline- and Catholic-focused tours of Italy and Quebec, the College will close out its 150th anniversary year and begin a new Ursuline College era with a tour in the steps of Jesus, September 14-24, 2022. These dates may change one or two days and will be confirmed soon.
"This truly is the College’s Christian heritage and we invite you to join us," said Richard Konisiewicz, vice president for institutional advancement. "We have chosen Go Ahead Tours as our directors again because of our very positive experience with them on our recent trip to Italy."
Go Ahead Tours has come up with a wonderful tour that explores the places we’ve read about in the Gospels and it is truly a Christ-centered tour, he said.
“This tour price is a bargain considering there are 15 different included excursions over nine days. The price is a special negotiated one since the College has used Go Ahead before. Travelers will get a lot for their money,” Konisiewicz said.
Pre-travel payment plans are available through Go Ahead Travel.
The tour includes the Lake Tiberias, Nazareth, the Mount of Beatitudes, a Sea of Galilee cruise, Garden of Gethsemane, a walk down the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Bethlehem and much more.
"On the premise that any friend of our alumnae is a friend of ours, individuals who are not closely attached to the College can certainly join the group of travelers. In fact, we welcome all," he said.
“A trip to the Holy Land at this juncture of Ursuline College’s history is the right thing to do. As we begin our 150th year, reflecting on the graces of the first 150 years, we can truly thank God for our blessings. What a wonderful place to start a new era for the College—in the Holy Land,” says Sister Christine De Vinne, OSU, PhD, president of Ursuline College, who will join the tour.

"With vaccinations on the way and a renewed hope in the nation and the world, we feel next year will be a good time to travel again. Let ’s head to the Holy Land together," Konisiewicz said.
