Commencement is an integral milestone in a meaningful academic journey for students as well as their families and guests. Again this year it is complicated by the pandemic but thanks in part to the Student Commencement Committee members, the Ursuline College administration has planned an outdoor, in-person, socially distanced ceremony for 2020 and 2021 graduates.
The Commencement ceremony is set for Friday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Classic Park, home of the Lake County Captains minor league baseball team. The venue, at 35300 Vine St., Eastlake, Ohio, will allow us to maintain social distancing with “bubble seating.” The cooperation of all graduates and their guests in maintaining social distancing will be essential.
In order to attend Commencement and be eligible for their allotted four guest tickets, all graduates must have submitted their application for graduation and must register no later than Monday, April 26 on the official Commencement Registration Form to participate and march in the ceremony. Those who do not register by Monday, April 26, will not be permitted to walk or attend Commencement, nor will they be eligible for any guest tickets.
Guests, as well as our graduates, will have designated ticketed seating. Guests may not move seats.
The College will continue to follow CDC and state and local guidelines. Accordingly, all attendees will be asked to perform a health self-check prior to attending, properly wear a face mask at all times, and must agree to remain in their ticketed seat.
