Ursuline College has announced the appointment of Mike Brown as Vice President for Enrollment Management. Brown joins the College’s leadership on December 6 to oversee admission and financial aid functions.
Ursuline College President Sister Christine De Vinne, OSU, PhD, said, “We look forward to welcoming Mr. Brown to Ursuline where we know he will provide leadership and broad perspective on recruitment for higher education.”
Brown brings to Ursuline experience in undergraduate and graduate admissions at a number of private colleges similar to Ursuline in size. He has been Vice President of Enrollment at Lake Erie College for the past three years. He served also at Heidelberg University in Ohio, St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana, and Eckerd College in Florida.
Brown earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Hanover College and his master’s in higher education administration at the University of Louisville. After starting his career in social work advocating for children in foster care, he has worked in higher education for the past 17 years.
“I am excited to join the leadership at Ursuline College,” said Brown. “You can really feel the commitment to the Ursuline College mission and vision all throughout the school. I am thrilled to be joining such a committed organization. I will endeavor to continue its current, positive course as the College celebrates its sesquicentennial and looks toward its future as a leader of women-focused education.”
