Given the impending storm, Ursuline College campus offices will be closed and all on-campus learning will be virtual as of 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2. Campus offices will remain closed and campus-based classes will be virtual through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4.
The College remains open, even though campus offices and classrooms are closed. Most staff members will be working from home and available via email, unless power failures make that impossible. If power outages make it impossible to provide essential services on campus, the College will update students, faculty, and staff via its UrsAlert emergency notification system.
Nursing students are still expected to report for clinical experiences. Instructors are to be in contact with their students to discuss expectations for specific classes. Students are to communicate with their instructors if they have any concerns or challenges. Staff will be expected to work from home both days, if at all possible.
Ursuline's Ralph M. Besse Library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2. On Thursday, Feb. 3, although the library building will be closed, online services will be available from 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. On Friday, Feb. 4, the building will bclosed but online services will be available from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Regular library hours resume on Saturday, Feb. 5.
The College's Bishop Anthony Pilla Student Center and Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center will remain open, and meal service will switch to a weekend schedule for Thursday and Friday, with brunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Coaches will communicate directly with student athletes regarding practices.
