At Ursuline College, we’re thinking about those things, too. Every day, our esteemed faculty are serve as supportive mentors to Ursuline students, guiding them through a challenging and collaborative learning process to prepare them for success in their chosen field. Our Office of Counseling and Career Services works one-on-one with students to connect them to internships, co-op opportunities, alumni networks, and – eventually – jobs that will set them on the path to future success.

Q: Is Ursuline affordable?
A: Absolutely! At Ursuline, affordability is our mission. In 2017, 100% of first-year students received gift aid. Additionally, payment plans, loans, and work-study help make Ursuline one of the most affordable colleges in Ohio. Ursuline students, on average, graduate with less student loan debt than the national average.
Q: What is your job placement rate?
A: 98% of last year's graduates were hired or admitted to graduate school by the time of graduation. Furthermore, Ursuline students are 3 times more likely to be employed by the time of graduation than the national average across all college and university graduates according to employment statistics from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
Q: Is Ursuline safe?
A: Safewise.com named Ursuline the 3rd safest campus in the United States. Our excellent security staff provide 24-hour campus escorts and 24-hour vehicle assistance.
Q: How does Ursuline help students decide on a major?
A: We encourage students to meet with career services to help them with understand career choices ahead. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and/or the Strong Interest Inventory are administered to all students in the Ursuline Studies program, and assist in determining whether your student is in the correct major and may help clarify career goals. In addition, our First Year to Career program allows students to explore career and college major options, develop and sharpen professional skills, learn about opportunities with top Cleveland companies, and work in a micro-internship.
Q: What resources are available for tutoring, advising and students with learning differences?
A: Ursuline Resources for Success in Academics provides tutorial assistance in a number of different subjects across the curriculum free-of-charge. One-on-one tutoring sessions in subjects like writing, chemistry, biology, and mathematics, as well as small group review sessions, are offered by our student and professional tutors.
Academic advisors are usually a faculty member in your student’s major. Several staff members also serve as academic advisors. Students are notified of the name of their advisor shortly after they begin their first semester at Ursuline.
Ursuline College is committed to helping students with learning disabilities (LD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) succeed in their courses and become independent learners. To help these students achieve success, the College has developed the FOCUS Program, a voluntary, comprehensive, fee-paid program for students with learning disabilities and ADHD. The FOCUS Program is aimed at providing a smooth transition into college life, helping students learn to apply the most appropriate learning strategies in college courses and teaching students self-advocacy skills, all through intensive one-on-one coaching with a disability specialist.
Q: Are cars allowed on campus?
A: All students can have a car on campus, and there is a modest parking charge each semester.
Q: What do students do on the weekend?
A: There are plenty of ways for students to get involved on campus. Ursuline is a member of the NCAA Division II Great Midwest Athletic Conference, so students can catch a game. Service minded students can get involved in a myriad of opportunities that partner with local organizations. Students can get involved by joining of one 20 student organizations on campus. We are in close proximity to major retail outlets, like Beachwood Place, Legacy Village and Pinecrest (the newest lifestyle shopping mecca in the area). In addition, we are 20 minutes away from downtown Cleveland where students can catch a professional baseball, basketball or football game, attend a play, or a large-venue concert.
Q: Is housing available for all students?
A: Housing is guaranteed for all four years for students, but it is not required to live on campus. Approximately 75% of incoming first-year students live on campus, the rest choosing to commute.
