    Registration + costs

Lifelong Learners will be eligible to register for a virtual or classroom course only if there is space in the program so that traditional students or those auditing the class have the first opportunity. The instructor must approve the Lifelong Learner to take the course.

To register as a lifelong learner, complete and submit the application below. You will be notified by email if you are approved to take the course and will be billed after you have been confirmed. The fee is $60 per credit hour, plus any course fee associated with the class. You’ll also be responsible for the cost of any books you choose to purchase for your class.

Once registered, please stop by the Student Services Center, located in Mullen 203, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., to obtain a photo ID. You will also need your ID to have access to Desire2Learn through this website. You'll scroll to the bottom of any page on this site and click D2L.

Lifelong Learners will have limited access to Besse Library services. You are permitted to take out up to four regular circulating items at a time for a two-week period.

The Office of the Registrar does not retain official records for Lifelong Learners. Requests for retroactive credit cannot be honored. If you need a class posted on an official Ursuline College transcript for certification or immigration purposes, you must take the course as an audit or for credit and pay the full tuition cost. UCAP (accelerated online) courses and private lessons are not open to lifelong learners.
