The Breen School of Nursing at Ursuline College will host an accreditation visit by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) on September 16-18, 2026. The purpose of the visit is to seek continuing nursing accreditation of the doctor of nursing practice degree program.
In accordance with CCNE accreditation procedures, interested parties may submit written comments concerning a program’s qualifications for accreditation.
Written third party comments regarding the Breen School of Nursing will be received by CCNE until 21 days before the scheduled visit on September 16-18, 2026. All written third-party comments must be received by CCNE no later than August 26, 2026. All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE’s policy on Conduct of Business in English.
CCNE shares third-party comments with the evaluation team prior to the evaluation visit, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments that relate to the accreditation standards.

The Ursuline College with Somnia Nurse Anesthesia Program (SNAP) curriculum is a full-time, 36-month integrated format that prepares the baccalaureate-educated nurse to become a doctorally prepared nurse anesthetist. The curriculum is designed to meet the standards of the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
The application cycle for the January 2027 cohort is now closed. The application for the January 2028 program will open in October 2026.

Ursuline College partnered with Somnia Nurse Anesthesia Program, LLC in 2022 to create and operate the Ursuline College with SNAP. Somnia Nurse Anesthesia Program, LLC is an independent privately owned nurse anesthesia education company that provides nurse anesthesia continuing education and workshops across the country. The mission of SNAP is to prepare nurse anesthetists with advanced, specialized knowledge and skills to meet the health needs of diverse populations and to serve as health care leaders.
