Through the Africana Studies Certificate pathway, students can explore the historical and contemporary contributions, as well as the sociocultural and political impact by people in this country of African and African American descent. Students will also be exposed to the African American experience in U.S history and the impact that this history has on contemporary issues.
Designed and built around Ursuline's core curriculum, this pathway fits seamlessly into the humanities requirements of most of our undergraduate majors. Students can earn a Africana Studies Certificate in addition to their diplomas in their majors.
