Five semester sequencing
With enough transfer credits, students typically complete our BSW in five semesters. Our program follows a unique cohort model where major courses are offered in a specific rotation. This rotation allows students to predict when they will take their major courses each semester.

Synchronous and Asynchronous Courses
Students will complete all their courses online. Once students begin with their Social Work major courses, they will be required to attend once-a-month virtual synchronous meetings on specific days and times. These required meetings are usually held in the evenings from 7-8 p.m. on specific days. Students know of these mandatory online, synchronous meetings in advance so they can plan.
National Ranking
Ursuline's Social Work program is ranked among the nation's best by College Values Online.
Credit toward your master's
As a graduate of Ursuline's Bachelor's in Social Work (BSW) program, you will be eligible for advanced standing in CSWE-accredited Master of Social Work (MSW) programs across the United States, including both traditional and online programs. This may allow you to complete your master's in a shorter period of time.
Practicum Experience
In the last academic year of social work courses, students are individually matched with a supervisor and a local agency to complete a 480-hour practicum. Your professors will know you well enough to place you in agencies doing work you are passionate about, connect you with mentors you will click with, and seek out practicum environments that match your post-college goals.
