Why I Chose Ursuline
Ursuline was not on my radar until I was invited to attend a recruiting event for the soccer team. As soon as I stepped on campus I knew that Ursuline was the school for me. I was interested in the small class sizes, personal attention from professors, and women focused approach to learning. The environment felt supportive and like a place where I could grow not only as a professional but as a person.
Putting My Ursuline Degree to Work
I am currently the Parks Program Coordinator for the City of Shaker Heights. I came to this role after seven years working with and for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District in art programming. An Ursuline education, specifically in the English program, taught me effective communication, project management, leadership skills, and how to work as a member of a team.
I’m Making My World More…
[Just]. In my career, I hope to be a full-time camp director or the director of a city recreation department. While at Ursuline, I solidified my commitment to serving others and developed a strong sense of values that have helped guide me through my career. I lean on these values to stay focused on social justice and addressing inequities in the world. Regardless of my title or place of employment, I want to be a change agent and do some good in the world. Attending Ursuline allowed me the opportunity to define that for myself and has given me a lifelong network of support.
