Rosemarie Emanuele’s primary responsibilities focus on teaching a variety of economics courses. She earned a BA in economics (with honors distinction) at Georgetown University and a PhD in economics from Boston College. Her dissertation is titled “The Demand for Volunteer Labor under Impure Altruism: An Inquiry into Demand-Side Behavior by Nonprofit Organizations.” Dr. Emanuele's published research has appeared in refereed journals. She is primarily a labor economist focusing on the field of public sector economics. Additional research interests include health economics, and the relationship between law and economics.
