    Eastern Edge Exhibit

Wasmer Gallery exhibits fine art of educational value by professional and amateur artists. The Gallery has a full schedule each exhibition season and welcomes proposals by artists for upcoming schedules. This year we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Wasmer Gallery, which opened in 1980 and was named in gratitude for the generosity and vision of the late Florence (O’Donnell) Wasmer and John C. Wasmer.

The New Masters 2: Women Artists of Northeast Ohio
    through January 29, 2021

This exhibition of work in diverse artistic disciplines showcases the skill and vision of emerging and professional women artists, 18 years of age and older, currently residing in the following Ohio counties: Ashland, Ashtabula, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, and Wayne.

From 337 artworks submitted by 136 artists, guest juror Mary Urbas, director and curator of The Gallery at Lakeland Community College, has selected 47 works by 39 artists and awarded $2,800 in cash prizes.

You may view the show in person, by appointment only, Tuesday-Friday, 12:00-5:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 1:30-4:30 p.m. (closed Monday). Email Gallery Director Anna Arnold or call her at 440.646.8121.

As an alternative, you may view the "New Masters" exhibition on the College’s Flickr site.

This exhibition was made possible by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, and by funding from the Ohio Arts Council, Glenmede, and generous alumnae and friends of the College.
