For nearly 40 years, Ursuline’s Educational Administration Program has been a regional powerhouse—preparing highly effective leaders of public and nonpublic schools. The program philosophy and mission incorporate research findings on effective schools, best practices in teaching and learning, organizational development, and the principle-centered approach to leadership and administration.

    Principal and Superintendent Licensure

Students can seek licensure for these leadership positions by completing additional credit hours of coursework, developing a network of peer leaders in the process. Learn more about the superintendent licensure program and the principal licensure program.

    Admission Requirements

Students applying for admission must meet the general requirements for graduate admission.

    Accreditation Accomplishments

The Education programs at Ursuline College are accredited through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The programs are also approved by the Chancellor of the Oho Department of Higher Education. The Education Leadership/Principal Licensure program is also nationally recognized by the ELCC/NELP, National Educational Leadership Preparation through 2026. The ELCC/NELP is a Specialized Professional Association with additional rigorous standards. The principal licensure program is designed to help educational leaders develop the skills to address real issues and responsibilities facing a building leader today.
