Our Faculty
Dr. Carrie Scotto has a clinical background in critical care nursing. She earned her BSN and MSN from the University of Akron and her doctoral degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She has teaching experience at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level. She has published articles related to critical care practice, cardiac rehabilitation, and nursing theory. She has presented research findings and served as keynote speaker at healthcare conferences locally, regionally, and nationally. She is co-author of Ethical Decision Making in Nursing.
Dr. Scotto is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Preventive Cardiovascular Nursing Association, and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She served on the Ohio Board of Nursing Advisory Committee for Education and Practice.
