Dr. George Matejka holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Catholic University of America.He earned a PhD in philosophy from Duquesne University and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology with a Specialization in Biblical Studies from the Gregorian University, Rome, Italy. He serves on the Ethics Committees of both St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and Jennings Center for Older Adults.
Dr. Matejka has lectured on the ethical dimension of human relationships with animals at the National Animal Rights Conference. He has published reviews of several books and has lectured at conferences widely on this field. He is president of the board of the Cleveland Ecumenical Institute for Religious Studies.
