    Commencement Weekend Overview

Note: All communications about Commencement events will be sent to the graduate’s Ursuline email account.

Ursuline College welcomes graduates and their families to celebrate Commencement 2026 on May 1 and 3, 2026. Commencement 2026 is for graduates who complete their degree in December 2025, January 2026, May 2026, or August 2026.

Commencement 2026 is comprised of three main events. All events are optional.

    • Bachelor of Science Nursing Convocation (Pinning) is Friday, May 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center. Graduating BSN students will gather for pinning and inspirational words as they celebrate crossing the threshold from student to nurse. This is for Nursing students only.
    • Baccalaureate Prayer Service with Conferring of Academic Hoods will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 1:45 p.m. in the Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center on Ursuline’s campus. The ceremony is rooted in spirituality, one of our core values, and guided by our Ursuline mission and heritage. We will reflect on our Ursuline experiences and ask God’s blessings on our graduates and guests. Graduates receiving bachelor's or master’s degrees wear academic regalia and academic hoods are conferred. The service is open to people of all faiths. We expect the service will last approximately 45 minutes.
    • Commencement (Graduation) is Sunday, May 3 at 1:30 p.m. at the Wolstein Center located on Cleveland State University’s main campus at 2000 Prospect Avenue E in Cleveland. The ceremony should last approximately two hours. This ceremony will be available via livestream on this webpage the day of the event

2026 Fact Sheet for Commencement and Baccalaureate

The fact sheet will be emailed to students, as well as placed on this page on December 5. The fact sheet will include:

    • Key dates to note to stay on schedule
    • Descriptions, as well as addresses and times, of the 3 events that comprise Commencement 2026
    • Where to get tickets
    • Information on livestreaming, photos, regalia, what to wear and more!

    Registration

Graduates must register to participate in Commencement and Baccalaureate by March 25 at 12 p.m. This is to register for the events, which is a separate process from what you do with the Registrar and your advisor. Registration will open on December 5 and a link will be available on this page.

    Regalia (Caps, Hoods and Gowns)

Regalia is not sold on campus. Graduates can purchase their regalia with ship-to-home delivery from Jostens. Graduates will be able to purchase their regalia through a link appearing on this page by December 5.
