Ursuline College is collaborating with Notre Dame to enable Notre Dame’s students to complete their programs without major disruption. We’re developing plans to accommodate the academic, financial, and emotional needs of Notre Dame College students.

What you need to know to attend Ursuline College

If you are a Notre Dame student enrolled in one of the programs listed below, you can be part of the teach out (pending approval of the Higher Learning Commission or HLC) -- which means that you would be guaranteed to be able to finish your degree at Ursuline College in the same amount of time that it would have taken you at Notre Dame College.

If you are a Notre Dame College student, but are not enrolled in one of the programs listed below, you are still welcome to transfer to Ursuline into one of our other academic programs or a custom designed major. Learn more about Transferring to Ursuline College or apply for FREE online using our Fast App.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to questions that you may be asking yourself. If you don't find the information that you're looking for here, please see below for the contact information of our Admission team members.

Will I be receiving Financial Aid?

Ursuline will do our best to mirror your current cost of attendance at NDC. Ursuline does not have any separate scholarship applications for transfer students. When you apply to Ursuline, you are automatically applying to all our scholarship opportunities. Another added perk is that similarly to NDC, Ursuline also includes textbooks in our cost of tuition.* So you won’t lose out on that benefit, if you choose to attend Ursuline.

*Not applicable to online students enrolled in the UCAP program.

Are there visit opportunities for NDC students?

Yes! Ursuline College is dedicated to supporting all Notre Dame College students as they explore options for completing their degrees. We would love for potential students and their families to visit us!  Schedule a virtual or in-person visit here to explore if Ursuline is right for you!

What advising support will I receive?

Each student will be assigned to an academic advisor specifically designated for students from Notre Dame College. Students will also be assigned a personal librarian and career coach when they enroll at Ursuline.

I'm a student athlete. Can I still be an athlete at Ursuline?

The Ursuline Arrows compete in 11 sports at the NCAA Division II level, as part of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. You can learn more about Ursuline Athletics at ursulinearrows.com. To look into opportunities within a specific sport, please contact the head coach listed in our Staff Directory.

I'm a graduate student. Will I need to submit letters of recommendation?

No, these will be waived for NDC students.

Are there degree programs offered only for the NDC teach-out?

There are several, previously discontinued majors that WILL be available only to NDC students. These additional degree options can only be found on the forms connected to the NDC webpage (NDC Fast App, NDC credit evaluation request, NDC request for info). Those include:

    a. Accounting – in person only
    b. Healthcare Administration – online only
    c. Human Resources – online only
    d. Graphic Design – in person only
    e. Interdisciplinary Studies – in person and online
