    Pamela McVay, PhD

    Contact

    Pamela McVay earned her PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in history. Her doctoral examination fields were renaissance and reformation Europe; Indian Ocean empires, 1450-1750; and comparative colonial women's history, 1500-1800. She earned her master of arts in early modern history at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and her bachelor of science in history and German literature at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. McVay is the author of "Envisioning Women in World History 1500 to the Present" and a number of articles on colonial and women’s history.
