Our Faculty
Dr. Martin earned Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Business Administration degrees (Case Western Reserve University), a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (John Carroll University), and professional training in financial planning (New York University). He was awarded funding as a NIH postdoctoral fellow (Multiple Chronic Conditions Interdisciplinary Nurse Scientist), a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing Scholar and a Commonwealth Fund Executive Nurse Fellow. His decades of nursing career include leadership positions in geriatric assessment, research operations, dementia care facility development and eldercare advocacy. Dr. Martin’s program of research is focused on decision-making at the intersection of health and personal finance.His interests include decision science, behavioral economics, measurement and statistics, health systems and ethics.
