    Pre-Law Program Course Requirements

Core Course Requirements for the Pre-Law Program

Pre-Law is not a major, but rather a program that will advise you in preparation for law school. Whichever major you choose, your Pre-Law program advisor will be with you every step of the way.

Pre-Law requirements offer the flexibility to choose the path that works for you. You might select a certificate, major, minor, or double major in Legal Studies, which covers the essential competencies in law, including research and writing, ethics, and legal practice areas.

    Common Pre-Law Majors

Pre-Law majors include any majors that equip you with the skills you will need for law school, such as critical thinking, oral communications, and more. Majors you might consider for your Pre-Law program include, but are not limited to:

    • Biochemistry
    • Biology
    • Business
    • Chemistry
    • English
    • History
    • Historic Preservation
    • Legal Studies
