A native of Cleveland, Ohio; upon receiving his BFA degree in crafts, with a concentration in glass from Kent State University, Kent Ohio in 2008, Clark DeCapite moved to Miami, Florida in pursuit of his MFA degree in sculpture with a concentration in glass at the University of Miami.

Although formally trained in glass working practices, his current body of work openly crosses material lines and technical borders through the use of emerging technologies, time based medias, site specific installation as well as re-contextualized traditional materials.
