Why I Chose Ursuline
I started college at a state university that was just not very personal. When I came to Ursuline I thought it would be a quick interview. I ended up talking with the department chair for two hours. Then I went to an Ursuline fashion show. One of the collections was so amazing that it actually made me emotional. I thought ‘This is what I want to be able to do, to give someone else that kind of emotional high.’
Putting My Ursuline Degree to Work
I’ve had three amazing internships as a Fashion Design student at Ursuline. I organized the annual Work Wear Fashion Show which demonstrates for students what is appropriate to wear in various professional settings. I interned with a web series called Star Trek Continues, where I was the assistant to the costume designer. I also interned with a costume house in Atlanta called God Save the Queen, where I learned how to work with leather and spandex, and created garments for productions filming around Atlanta. They offered me a full-time job after graduation.
