    File your FAFSA

Ensure you are considered for all the aid you are eligible to receive by completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

    Where to Find the FAFSA

The FAFSA is available online. You can complete, submit, and track your application online. October 1st is the first day you can submit your FAFSA for the fall term. We recommend you file and add Ursuline to your FAFSA no later than February 1st to ensure you receive the best aid package.

    Before You Apply

If possible, before you apply, both you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) should file your income tax returns. If you complete your FAFSA before the tax returns are ready, use last year’s tax forms to complete your FAFSA. You can return to the FAFSA once this year’s taxes are filed and update it.

Create a FAFSA ID and password
. Both you and a parent/guardian need to create your own IDs and passwords with your own individual email accounts.
Collect documents. See the list of documents you need to get started.

    Tips

    What Happens After You Apply

    • You will receive the Student Aid Report (SAR) from the US Department of Education. Be sure to review this document for errors and follow directions to correct them.
    • Wait for your Ursuline College Award letter to arrive in the mail. Once it arrives be sure to review it and contact your Admission Counselor with any questions.
    • After you review your award letter, sign the letter to accept the award and return it to Ursuline College
    • You may be selected for verification if any data elements reported on your FAFSA are flagged by a federal processor or Ursuline Financial Aid team member as potentially inconsistent or inaccurate. If selected, verification forms and instructions will be included in your financial aid award package, and our team will work with you to ensure you understand what do next. Please know that if an error in data entry is identified during your verification process, your financial aid package could change.
