Nursing Faculty - Associate Director, Graduate Nursing Programs

Summary
The Associate Director of the Breen School of Nursing Graduate Nursing Program is appointed to a full-time, 12-month, faculty/administrative position, reporting to the Director and Chief Nurse Administrator for the Breen School of Nursing. Position is available immediately.
Responsibilities
The Associate Director provides academic leadership for the graduate MSN and DNP programs and is responsible for:
- Coordinating the development and implementation of all graduate nursing programs, including its specialty tracks.
- Managing the day-to-day administration of the graduate program.
- Scheduling and staffing classes.
- Facilitating communication among faculty teaching in the graduate nursing program and with other faculty in the school of nursing.
- Facilitating communication with other College governing bodies as necessary.
- Chairing the Graduate Nursing Program Committee within the school of nursing.
- Overseeing the assessment of all graduate nursing programs, curricula, students, and clinical sites.
- Assisting with the assessment/evaluation of classroom and clinical instruction.
- Interviewing and recommending adjunct faculty for hire.
- Assisting the librarian in maintaining the collection of nursing literature.
- Monitoring supply and maintenance needs as well as facilities and equipment for the graduate nursing program.
- Promoting excellence in academic and clinical practice environments, and in scholarship.
- Providing leadership in higher education and health care.
- Assisting with marketing, recruitment, and retention of students and faculty.
- Assisting with projects, reports, accreditation, grants, and fund raising.
- Teaching and advising students as assigned.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in nursing (DNP, PhD).
- Teaching experience in an MSN program.
- Academic leadership experience.
- Must qualify for a faculty appointment and maintain an unencumbered RN license to practice in Ohio.
