Sarahbeth Abalos is the school director of the Breen School of Nursing at the Ursuline College Campus of Gannon University. She is a nurse educator, academic leader, and registered nurse with more than two decades of experience in nursing and healthcare. She earned her PhD in Nursing and MSN in Nursing Education from Wilkes University and is certified as both a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator (CNEcl).

Dr. Abalos has held academic nursing leadership positions at Gannon University, Hiram College, and Thiel College, with extensive experience in undergraduate and graduate nursing education, curriculum development, accreditation and regulatory compliance, faculty development, strategic planning, and student success. Prior to transitioning to nursing education and academic leadership, she practiced in critical care, trauma, emergency, and school nursing.

Her scholarly interests include nursing education, Generation Z nurses, student success, and preparation of the future nursing workforce. She is also actively engaged in professional and community service and has held leadership roles with the Ohio Council of Deans and Directors and several community organizations, including the Sharon Community Health Center.
