Scholarships for Transfer Students

Ursuline College offers scholarships to full-time and part-time transfer students based on academic performance.

Transfer Scholarships

Ursuline is proud to award offer transfer students generous scholarships. The following scholarships are awarded based on an application for admission to the College to students working toward their first bachelor’s degree. Scholarships are awarded until August 1 for the fall semester and January 1 for the spring semester. (Note: the scholarships below are not applicable for Online/UCAP undergraduate and ABSN students).

26/27 Academic Year - Arrow Transfer Promise Program Scholarship

Ursuline’s Arrow Transfer Promise will cover your remaining tuition after your Ursuline merit award and federal/state grants have been applied. Scholarships will range based on need, and will be renewable for up to three years of an undergraduate degree. A total of up to 15 students will be awarded.

Eligibility requirements for the 26/27 academic year Arrow Transfer Promise Program at Ursuline College:

Accepted for the academic term of 26/27 and be a transfer student working toward a first bachelor’s degree,
Accepted for an in-person, traditional daytime major (UCAP online students are excluded),
A cumulative GPA from previously attended colleges of 3.4 or higher,
Must be a full-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits each semester),
Ohio resident who is eligible for the Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG), and
FAFSA results of an SAI of 1000 or less

For the 27/28 academic year - $2,000 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Member Scholarship

$2,000 yearly scholarship for confirmed PTK members pursuing an in-person undergraduate degree starting during the 27/28 academic year.
Must declare PTK membership when applying for admission to Ursuline to be eligible.
Renewable for a total of three years as long as recipient maintains full-time enrollment, remains in good academic standing (at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA) and is working toward their undergraduate degree.

Ursuline College Full-Time Transfer Scholarships

Renewable for a total of three years as long as recipient maintains full-time enrollment, remains in good academic standing (at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA) and is working toward their undergraduate degree.
Awards are based on transfer GPA. The GPA is calculated on academic courses taken from each accredited institution attended. Consideration will be given to the college-level curriculum the student has taken.

Ursuline College Part-Time Transfer Scholarships

Renewable as long as recipient is making continuous progress towards a bachelor’s degree while maintaining good academic standing. Students must take a minimum of six credit hours each semester in order to receive scholarship. These scholarships will be a prorated amount of the full-time award.
Awards are based on transfer GPA . The GPA is calculated on academic courses taken from each accredited institution attended. Consideration will be given to the college-level curriculum the student has taken.

Ursuline College reserves the right to modify the eligibility criteria for these awards as necessary to ensure strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Applying for Private Scholarships

Ursuline College is a member of Financial Aid Web Search Through the Web (FastWeb). FastWeb is the largest and most complete scholarship search on the Internet. It provides access to a searchable database of more than 400,000 private scholarships, fellowships, grants, and student loans. FastWeb is a free service. It is best to start your search for private scholarships early – usually in December, for the following academic year. Scholarship application deadlines are commonly in February through May.
