Summary
Ursuline College seeks a bright and energetic individual to join the Office of Undergraduate Admission. The Admission staff contributes greatly to maintaining and enhancing Ursuline’s reputation. Admission Counselors play a vital role in continuing the efforts to present Ursuline College to prospective students and develop programs to assist with their needs. Responsible for recruiting students into undergraduate programs. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admission.
Responsibilities
Manages a recruitment territory, including travel during fall and spring. Represents Ursuline through various outreach events such as information sessions, high school visits, and college fairs. Builds and maintains relationships with community college counselors. Determines student interest from point of inquiry through the registration stage. Develops admission procedures for recruitment through best practices to meet the needs of first-year students. Supports evening/weekend events throughout the year. Serves as academic liaison to select majors, meeting annually with program director. Meets with prospective students/families; conducts unofficial transcript evaluations and assists in the application process.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Previous experience in college admission/higher education setting or related experience. Must be highly motivated and energetic; detail oriented, possess excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills. Proficient technical skills in MS Office; experience with Technolutions’ Slate CRM is a plus; experience using online communication services; website administration knowledge and skills. Ability to multi-task and work in an inclusive community; Valid driver’s license, ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as necessary.
