Do you have a bachelor’s degree in different field but want to be a nurse? Our Second Degree Accelerated Program (SDAP) in nursing gets you there faster with more career options. In the time it takes to complete an associate degree in nursing, you can earn an in-demand Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)—the preferred degree of most major hospitals and health care employers.
After successful completion of this accelerated second degree nursing program, you will be eligible to sit for the RN licensing exam (NCLEX).

Applications for our accelerated BSN program are accepted on a rolling basis for cohorts that begin in January, May, and August. To be considered, applicants must have a 2.5 or above from their graduating institution. They also must have passed all the science prerequisites within two attempts earning a grade of “C” or higher. A withdrawal or a “W” is considered an attempt. See the full prerequisite list under course requirements.

The Breen School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

When you graduate from the accelerated nursing program at Ursuline, you will have the clinical experience to function as a decision maker and caregiver within and across Ohio's health care systems. Nurses today work autonomously in a variety of acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community-based agencies.
