    Why I Chose Ursuline

I came to Ursuline to become a nurse, but ended up graduating with an English Degree and Public Relations Minor. Ursuline provided me with much more than just a degree. My studies allowed me to become more grounded in myself, in my beliefs, in what I wanted for my future. Ursuline allowed me to expand upon the ambitions I have always envisioned at a young age. The girl that first walked on campus is not the same girl that walked off. I didn’t just choose Ursuline as a college, I embodied Ursuline. I embodied the mission, I embodied the same commitment the faculty and staff showed me. I embodied the role in life I wanted so desperately to reach.

Putting My Ursuline Degree to Work

I was extremely involved at Ursuline and pursued avenues that strengthened my leadership potential, my communication and literacy skills, as well as my determination to succeed in life. Because of my degree, I was able to accept a job as a reporter for my county’s local newspaper. Here, I educate the public through my writing, and discuss with county directors, presidents, and executives of various medical, political, and financial roles, how they are transforming Ashtabula County. However, my journey does not just stop here. Through my education and experience, I wish to continue my growth through pursing my MBA and travel across the globe working for various non-profits, and assisting with humanitarian actions in healthcare, environmental studies, and education.

    I’m Making My World More…

[Responsive]. That same bolt of energy, enlightenment, and ambition that Ursuline struck me with is what I hope to bring to others for the rest of my life.
