What interested you in Ursuline and the Theological and Pastoral Studies program?
I was already in UCAP and really enjoying my time at Ursuline. The Bridge Program was like a miracle! I don’t know that I would have pursued a graduate degree if I had to start over with applying and being an unknown commodity at another school. Ursuline has created a container for folks like me who haven’t always fit in the mold of a traditional educational path.
What is your favorite aspect of the Theological and Pastoral Studies program?
The instructors! And the classes, texts, and non-linear approaches to the topics we are studying. The openness of the program (i.e. you don’t have to be Catholic or Christian to attend!).
How has your experience at Ursuline helped your career?
My time at Ursuline - and the guidance I have received - has opened my eyes to new possibilities within my chosen career path. I came in thinking I would become a Chaplain. Now, I’m thinking about how much I would love to teach!
Why do you think other students should apply for the Theological and Pastoral Studies program at Ursuline?
If you thrive in a more personalized learning environment, where diversity of all kinds is respected, honored, and appreciated, then you’ll want to be at Ursuline. If you want to be more than “just another student” among many students, if you want to know your instructors as more than just that person at the front of the room, you’ll love this program. If you want to expand your views in a safe and respectful environment, come to Ursuline.
