Summary
Assist in cultivating a vibrant campus environment by educating and empowering student leaders through the implementation of campus programs and the celebration of Ursuline traditions and the Ursuline College Blueprint, our signature experience. Responsible for the coordination of student programming and student organizations. Assist in coordinating student support toward increased student success and engagement, support community building which develops a common sense of purpose, belonging, safety, and acceptance. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Student Engagement & Orientation.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary general advisor to all Student Organizations and the Emerging Leaders Program. Develop and implement a comprehensive student leadership program; Advise Programming Board; Advise the undergraduate Student Government Association. Co-plan and organize Ursuline events including but not limited to: Welcome Week, Student Organization Fair, and Founder’s Week Celebration. Chair Committee on Student Organizations; Support assessment and evaluation measures and help prepare information for monthly and annual reports. Assist and support new student experience programs, such as Summer and Fall Orientation. Coordinate the selection of the Community Service Awards for student organizations; Coordinate the Student Leadership and Awards Ceremony and the Wall of Fame process.
Qualifications
Master's Degree required in Higher Education or related field. Two to three years experience working with college students or related experience. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate programs, events, and services. Ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff. Proficient technical skills in MS Office.
