Anna is the assistant for the Office of Diversity and Student Service Coordinator for international students. She graduated from Westminster College in 2019 with a Bachelors of Arts in psychology. She brings with her prior involvement and leadership within campus organizations such as Black Student Union, Allies, and Disability Awareness Club. Her undergraduate research includes topics of early childhood prejudice, gender studies, and cross-cultural relations.
Paula Fitzgerald has been ministering to college students and young adults for more than 20 years. She welcomes the opportunity to help students explore life’s big questions and connections to faith and spirituality. “Be reflective; Be loving” is her daily mantra. She received her B.A. in Economics from Lafayette College in Easton, PA and her M. Div from Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, MA (now part of Boston College School of Theology & Ministry). She is a certified spiritual director through the Ignatian Spirituality Institute at John Carroll University.
Deanne Hurley serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs and a Civil Rights Investigator for Ursuline College. She earned her Masters degree in Higher Education from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Centre College in Kentucky. Before pursuing her career in higher education, she worked as a chemist in a bourbon distillery.
Ms. Hurley serves on the Martin Luther King, Jr. High School Friends Advisory Board, Kappa Alpha Theta Cleveland Alumnae Chapter and is a member of the Catholic Community Connection Symposium Planning Committee. She has been recognized by the YWCA as a Women of Professional Excellence for her work with inclusion and diversity. Her lifelong passion is best reflected in her personal commitment to helping students and staff succeed in reaching both their educational and professional goals.
Julie Jones is a Career Development Specialist and instructor in the graduate wellness program at Ursuline College. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Baldwin-Wallace University, she earned her Master of Arts in Communication Theory and Methodology from Cleveland State University. A Certified Mindset and Mental Performance Coach, Julie is graduate of the NACWA/HERS Administrative and Leadership Institute. She spent 26 years leading NCAA Division I softball programs mentoring athletes who garnered awards from conference champions to academic-all Americans. Julie has designed and lead hundreds of programs in mental performance, athletics performance, well-being and leadership throughout her career.
Yolanda joins us from Boston. She brings with her 20+ years experience in counseling, student development, housing, diversity/inclusion, and innovation. She earned a B.A. in English from the College of Wooster, and a M.A in Student Development in Higher Education from Howard University. Yolanda has a successful track record partnering with cross-functional departments and managing staff to create inclusive communities that foster engagement.

ContactAmy Lechko has worked in Higher Education for 26 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Bowling Green State University and Master of Science from Miami University. She has a breadth of professional experience in Student Affairs where she has served as Director of Residence Life, Assistant Director of Student Activities and has provided academic and tutorial support in an Academic Resource Center. Currently as Associate Dean in Student Affairs, she oversees the areas of Residence Life and Food Service. She also serves on the Behavioral Assessment Team , contributes to retention initiatives and is the Co-Director of the Women’s Center. Having the opportunity to co-create a Women ‘s Center at Ursuline and develop programs and initiatives to help our students strenghten their personal and professional skills has been a dream come true.
Mary Anne Ursick is the Executive Assistant to the Vice-President for Student Affairs and the Commencement Coordinator. She began at Ursuline College in July of 2002 as the Athletic Department secretary. She began her current position in March of 2009. She received her Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Lakeland Community College. Mary Anne obtained her certification as a Certified Educational Office Employee as well as received her Professional Standards Program Certificate. She is the recipient of the 2019 Ursuline College Sister Pat McCaffrey Staff Excellence Award. Mary Anne is a board member of the Educational Office Professionals in Ohio. Prior to working at Ursuline College, she was a technical editor at a government agency.
